In the Pritchett Gunville and Hillis works catalogue of 1905 you could buy a dragon terminal for 40 shillings.
An ordinary, but decorated end of ridge tile cost just 7 shillings, so that is why the dragons are rare.

Harry was not only creating finials, he also created various moulded tiles.
The most well known of these is the Carisbrooke Donkey.
The best time of day to see it just after midday when the sun slants at an angle on it, showing up the deep relief of the molding.
